ArsenalTalk Preview - Arsenal admit that Cole can leave

Despite his statement today stating that he wants to play in the season curtain raiser against Aston Villa tomorrow, Ashley Cole will not be featuring for Arsenal.

In an article on the clubs official website it says...

"I've given him permission to move" the article adds that if a fee can be agreed, Cole will be leaving the Emirates.

This soap opera bores me to tears now and I hope that Cole will be sold as soon as possible so the money can be spent on replacements (PLEASE MR WENGER BOOST OUR SQUAD )

Jose Antonio Reyes has picked up a groin injury. Probably caused by trying to stick it into the Madrid presidents bottom...or then again possibly not.

Another transfer turning into a farce with Madrid wanting to offer not one Euro more for the player. Shows how much they rate you Jose.

Adding to a paper thin squad, with players desperate to leave is the long term injuries to Diaby/Clichy/Lauren/Senderos/Ljungberg. Tomas Rosicky is now crocked meaning that an unfit Freddie may have to come into the side tomorrow as we have no-one else.

Despite all of this negativity and doom and gloom regarding transfers, as stated on a number of other blogs, we have a decent first xi. On our day we are as good a first choice team as anyone in the league. The problem is that the young players need some more experience in that squad to help them out.

But we have done that to death now, and I dont want to bore you...

What's going to happen tomorrow? who knows! I hope we can win with ease and lift the gloom!!!

Good luck Arsenal

Nowadays it is unrealistic for players to stay and finish their career with a club that first gave them a chance. There maybe exceptions. Cole won't be the last one not only at Arsenal but at other teams.
He may find out he is not first choice all the time at SB. What then?Ask for a transfer? In which he will have to rot in the reserves as Chelsea have the financial muscle but for how long can the oil money last? Nothing is permanent in this world.
Look at MU.For all their domination in the 90s until AW broke Som stranglehold,Chelsea could be on the way out. It's not a question of money.Yes money plays a part but it's the overall policy of managers who could challenge the hegemony and win the trophies.
