Call me cynical but all of the talk of Premiership title coming to the Emirates that has been eminating from Arsenal since their win at Old Trafford is a little premature at best.
The official website talks of "teams like Sheffield United needing to be beaten at home in a title season" but for me the fact remains that we have won one Premiership match this season and haven't won a game at home.
If in six weeks we are closer to the leaders and have built a decent unbeaten run, then the "title" word may come back into my vocabulary, but not until then.
You may feel that is me being negative... I would call it cautious.
One thing that is pleasing me is the depth our squad will have once the returning players have cured their injuries.
Our defence for example will have the likes of Toure, Gallas, Lauren, Clichy (if he is ever fit!), Eboue and Senderos. The youngsters have benefited from their year of gaining experience and now add to the squad.
In midfield it is a similar story with Cesc, Gilberto, Hleb and Rosicky being my first choice four. Back up comes from Freddie, Flamster and the Beast.
Things aren't as bad as many of us thought over the summer. Maybe the optimism is founded!
On to Sheffield United and their is cause for both managers to be celebrating this afternoon.
Arsene Wenger is celebrating a decade in charge of Arsenal (I must get my mate Tim to write us an article about the day we met Arsene in Northampton sometime!) and Neil Warnock has made 1000 games as a league manager. How many of those he has spent in the stands having been sent off is not known

.
Thierry Henry and Robin Van Persie are expected to take their places in the squad after missing Old Trafford with injury. Whether this means a rest for Ade is unclear. I hope he retains his place and I hope that he can open his Emirates account sooner rather than later.
Sky are reporting that two of Sheffield Uniteds key players are unlikely to be fit for the match. Gloveman Paddy Kenny and midfielder Michael Tonge are missing.

Come on Arsenal
Jimmy
